The biggest advancement since you wore CL last is the invention of silicon hydrogel lens. These lens allow infinitely more oxygen to your eye which drastically increases the comfort morning till night. Some are so great you can wear them for up to a month straight. The best ones in my humble opinion, being an eye doc in training, are Focus Night and Days (which may be a little thicker than you're used to) and the brand spanking new Acuvue Oasis. The latter is easily the most comfort contact available and if money is no option I would suggest giving those a try. In any case, go see an eye doc, CLs have advanced quite a bit in the last few years. Give em another try, they are worth it! Take Care!!
