Does Anyone Wear Contacts For Astigmatism?

I just got them. I used to wear regular soft contacts, but these are made for astigmatism. And they are thicker on one side of the contact. And they hurt and move around alot. I HATE them.

I have pretty severe astigmatism, and I wear contacts as well. The AST contacts are thicker on the one side for a reason, so it moves into the right position on your eye. It took me almost 2 weeks to get used them enough to not keep blinking all the time. About a month to not notice them at all. Give them some time, you’ll adjust.

I do. I wear Acuvue Oyasis for astigmatism. I think they’re a bit thinner and weighted differently than most contacts, to that might help you.
They don’t work too great for me, but then again most contacts give me problems. It’s just me, though.
It really just depends on the person. Talk to your eye doctor about changing the contacts for a different brand that might work better.

I wear purevision toric for astigmatism. I have never worn a spherical contact lens so I do not have a reference for how they fit or feel. I have not experiences any issues with my contact. You should ask your doctor if there is another lens that would work better for you.

I have gas permeable which sounds like it might be what you have. Hang in there, it gets better. My one doc has kept me in these a long time, but I just went to a new doctor and she is getting me disposable soft lenses that will actually correct it and make me see better. You might want to try another doctor. Good luck!
