One time I was putting a lens in and it somehow flipped and stuck to my cornea; it couldn’t get it out, the more I tried the more swollen my eye became, the tears were running down my face and the whole time it felt like there was a acid soaked dagger piercing my eye. End result was a damaged cornea, wore an eye patch for nearly 3 months, several appt. with specialist, eye drops and laser treatments. I’ll stick with glasses thank-you very much.

Contacts drying out. Slipping out of place. Which is kinda like a 10% chance of rain. 90% of the area will stay dry and if it does rain then only 10% of the area will get any. 90% of the time contacts do what they are designed to do. 10% of the time they can be annoying. For the most part Contacts are nice to have for when you dont want to wear glasses. But there is that small chance that they will dry out and bug you to death and if the do dry out and slip out of place it can be annoying to get the things out. Overall contacts are the way to go if you dont want glasses.

Well for the first few days, you’ll probably be paranoid that you’re going to poke your eye out which will usually end up making you “miss” because you’ll pull away before you actually put the contact in. But you get over that really quickly.
Another thing in the first few days is trying to determine if it’s inside out or not. Another thing you learn quickly.

It always felt as if something was in my eye. And sometimes there was. I like glasses more. They protect my eyes better from stuff going them.
